Mana Tips.

Many people, especially new people, in the realm of MTG have lots of trouble getting the right amount of Mana in their individual decks and the Official MTG site doesn't give you much help.  It always seems that when you draw your cards you get either a hand almost entirely filled with Mana or a hand with almost none. There is a very simple trick that I use to make sure that you perpetually have the right amount of Mana.
Let's say that your deck is already made and all it needs is Mana. (Soon I will post a blog post on the steps of making a deck fast and efficiently) First, you will have to color coordinate your cards, while putting all multicolor and colorless cards in a separate pile. Secondly, you must count the cards.  Next, you must give each pile of cards its Mana. The way this is done is as follows:
The amount of cards in a certain pile is divided by 2  and that many plus one land of the color of that pile is put into the deck rounded up.
For example, if pile A had 15 black cards and pile B had 18 white you would give the deck 9 black Mana and 10 white.
The reader might now be wondering "but... what about the muti colored and colorless" but there is an easy answer. In the final step of this tip we will look at the number of lands that we have already added and see how much Mana we still need. In this case, the amount of Mana necessary is anywhere from 2-5, assuming we are making a sixty card deck. next, we will look at the multicolor cards. There are 3 of them, both black and white, so I will add 2 black Mana and 1 white, continuing with the dividing and adding up trick. Three divided by 2, rounded up, is 2 plus 1 is 3. Since it's multicolored I would put in 1 for each but since there are three Mana to be divided up, black will get one extra, because it has less Mana. The same procedure works for colorless.

Thank you for reading this tip soon I will write tips, deck ideas, strategies, and much more.
